A Good Day To Stay In Bed….

Unless your bed is in the middle of an intersection. Took this picture the other day at the intersection of Bert Kouns and East Kings Highway. The truck was stopped for a traffic light. When the light turned green, the truck headed through the intersection, the bed, well, it had other ideas and landed in the middle of the road. How embarassing!
My husband and I had a similar situation. The rope holding the mattress on the roof of the car broke and the mattress flew off onto the middle of a four-lane highway. Boy-o-boy did traffic come to a standstill. We managed to get it off to the side of the road. A state policeman came by and informed us that we could not leave it there. We got it back on the roof of the car and had to take it home to discard. It was a scary situation when we thought about what could have happened!
