I remember watching this show when I was a kid. It was a story of an ordinary guy who becomes a superhero.

But does a cape and tights make a hero. Not in my book! This cold snap has shown us there are a lot of heros out there. Those of you who braved the cold on Thursday to donate items to the Salvation Army, so those less fortunate are warm. The men, women and children who made sure the homeless had sleeping bags. Everyone who donated to make sure every child had something underneath their Christmas tree.

Especially in my long list of heros, the men and women who serve in the Louisiana National Guard. Many of them are preparing to say goodbye to their families as they head to Iraq. Please be safe, and we’ll count down the days until your joyouos homecoming. And thank you!
