Miss Louisiana Day 2: And the Preliminary Winners Are:

This is Brittany McGehee, Miss Louisiana Watermelon Festival was the preliminary talent winner.
And this is Katie Cook, Miss Spirit of Pineville, she was the physical fitness in swimsuit winner.
GO HOPE!!! Where is day 2??!! It has really tickled Kenzie that you have talked to her. It makes her feel so special and important. We will be at the coronation tonight regardless of where Hope places. Her dad, Kerry, is going to sleep in the car! The ad libs were much better last night. I think you and, was it Casey, were a better fit. You were still funny though - Eddie!

I had some serious computer problems over the weekend, so posting Friday and Saturday was next to impossible. I was very impressed with Hope, she did great. I really think Katherine is going to represent this state well at Miss America. It was so great to see Kenzie. I’m sure one day I’ll be saying her name as she walks across the stage.
She won the essay competition in the 8 - 10 year olds. She won a $200 savings bond! Adding that to her college fund. I was on pins and needles at announcements of top 10 and top 5. Did ya’ll have to call her name last both times! We were sweating it! Kenzie will get to go back one more year, then she “ages out” of FDL. I think Hope has a great shot next year!
